Neurovascular signals controlling CNS homeostasis in response to damage

Project B02 examines how the adhesion protein FLRT2 restores neurovascular barriers essential for recovery after CNS injury. Particularly, we will define fibroblast-specific FLRT2 functions in stroke and investigate the role of FLRT2 in retinal barrier maintenance and visual impairment associated with age-related macular degeneration. Overall, the project aims to establish FLRT2 as a key regulator of neurovascular repair across the CNS.
