Metabolic regulation of the endothelial cell damage responses
We identified nutrient-driven epigenetic, aging and regenerative control of endothelial repair. Our data show that metabolic syndrome disrupts systemic metabolite networks, driving divergent blood versus lymphatic endothelial responses to acute injury. Now, we will define how acute injury alters vessel type–specific metabolic–epigenetic zonation and immunometabolic niches, and leverage these insights to develop targeted nutrient interventions, endothelial-specific delivery strategies, and integrative biomarkers to restore regenerative capacity in health and disease.
